We stayed at the Erontas Cozy Home for 2 weeks and the most amazing time! Eleftheria was there to welcome us and check us in when we arrived and walked us through the amazingly stocked home - it had everything we needed and more! She also provided us with lots of recommendations for our visit, and was always quick to respond when we had any queries.

The home itself was perfect for what we needed - it was spacious yet cozy, peaceful yet not too far from the main road and amenities. It was a minute walk to the beach, and the bakery and mini market was just a very short walk down the hill. Eleftheria provided plenty of fruit, water and other goodies which were all lovely. All the instructions for the apartment (e.g. washing machine and air conditioning) were very clear and helped make the stay even more relaxing.

We were sad to leave at the end of our trip and will be looking to stay again soon! Thank you so much Eleftheria!!

We went to the ‘cozy home’ for our honeymoon. Rea (and her parents) were welcoming, inclusive and warm. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing week which is exactly what we got with the addition of a new friend in Rea. Rea gave us recommendations including driving us to pifki village so we could complete the gorge walk and taking us to Stavrochori where the three of us enjoyed local cuisine from a tavern. Rea showed us ‘secret’ beaches and recommended restaurants and sunbathe spaces.

I cannot put into words how much we enjoyed our stay in makrygiaios. We will definitely be recommending the cozy home to our friends and family and will be back ourselves. If you are considering booking this cozy home please do it. You will not be disappointed. This is the best air BnB experience we have had.

THANK YOU Eleftheria for a LOVELY STAY in your nice airbnb. We enjoyed the quiet, fully equipped 'mini house' and the little nice outdoor platform with a lovely view of the ocean. There is also a good parking lot in the shade. We even found fruit and youghurt in the fridge upon arrival, very thoughtful! After a warm day in the sun it is nice to return to this cozy place which quickly gets cold with air conditioning. The wifi works perfect.

Just a few min walk down the hill let you to a lovely beach, a nice restaurant, a mini market, a baker, a green grocer and an amazing butcher.

Eleftheria living next door is extremely helpful and kind. She gave us a lot of good information about beaches, restaurants, local arrangements etc. Eleftheria and her mum even occasionally brought us Greek delicacies to taste.

Due to a late flight in Heraklion and two hours car drive we didn't arrive until midnight. It was not a problem.

En clair, des vacances de rêve, dans un environnement calme et dépaysant et des gens charmants.

Abbiamo fatto la prenotazione due giorni dopo essere arrivati a Chania non sapevamo cosa avremmo trovato. Host gentilissima, I suoi genitori ci hanno trattato come familiari, casetta perfetta e pulitissima con tutti i confort (aria condizionata sia nel salone che nella camera da letto non usati perché non c'è n'è stato bisogno) cucina fornita di tutto per cucinare in casa.

I genitori dell' Host ci hanno ridato le uova fresche quando abbiamo terminato quelle che ci hanno fatto trovare nel frigo con acqua e frutta. Ci hanno regalato il giorno prima della partenza anche del "Raki" (tipo nostra grappa) fatta in casa e delicatissima, la spiaggia ed il mare a MakriGialos, raggiungibile in 5 minuti a piedi dall'alloggio, stupendi e sempre calmissimo, abbiamo trascorso 7 giorni stupendi difficili da dimenticare.

Se torniamo a Creta sicuramente vorremo riandare nella casetta di Elefhteria.

Lovely location, just behind the bakery, 1 min walk to the beach. Lovely host very generous hospitality and goodies in the accommodation on arrival. 10/10 experience.

A great stay in a very cosy and comfortable home close to everything that Makrygialos has to offer. Our host Elefteria made us feel very welcome and the home had everything we needed, just like our own home! The balcony we enjoyed for the sun in the mornings, and in the evenings for playing Tavli(backgammon).

We had a great stay with Eleftheria! She was really lovely, friendly and super helpful! Makri Gialos is a beautiful town with incredible beaches and great good and this apartment was close to it all!

Eleftheria really was a great host. She had no problem waiting for us untill 3 a.m. as our flight was suddenly changed from a direct to a connecting one. As we arrived, she quickly gave us a tour of the appartment and then left us to rest.

The apparment was small but very cozy and clean. It had two units of AC, a washing machine and everything that was listed in the appt description. Elefteria made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful by providing us with her list of local must-see destinations.

As we took her suggestion of hiking through Pefki Gorge she was kind enough to drive us to Pefki village which was the starting point of our hike.

The nearest beach was a 3 min walk away and was gorgeous. It was sandy and had beautiful water. As the beach strip was quite wide, it made sure that there was never a lot of crowd. The food there was delicious and not too expensive.

We highly recommend a visit to Erontas cosy home.

TL;DR: Great host, clean place, beautiful beaches.
